A Krixi CareTM consultation is a virtual, collaborative effort between the consulting physician and the clinical team at the spoke hospital.
Patient registration at the spoke and consult request to physician
The clinical team at the spoke hospital uses a secure website to register the patient and calls the hub hospital's emergency communication center to send a consult request to the physician on call.
As soon as the patient presents to the spoke hospital, the radiology team at the spoke sends the CT / MRI / X-ray images, taken using their imaging modality, to the Krixi CareTM PACS servers using a secure internet connection.

Virtual, collaborative consultation between physician and spoke
The physician uses a secure website to login and start a remote consultation for the patient that was registered at the spoke hospital. Using a comprehensive set of decision support tools, including 2-way audio/video and integrated CT / MRI / X-ray image review capabilities, the consulting physician remotely evaluates the patient and recommends treatment.
Consult report generation for billing and reimbursement
As soon as the consultation is complete, both the spoke and the physician have real-time, on-demand access to a detailed consultation report that documents the complete encounter. All subjective, objective, assessment and plan inputs, patient registration information as well as consult milestones are included in this report.
This PDF report can then be printed, emailed or included as part of the patient's record in an EMR/EHR system and used for CPT billing by the physician and for DRG reimbursement by the spoke hospital.
