Technical Requirements

Krixi CareTMis a secure, cloud-based service that is accessible from any laptop or PC that has broadband connectivity to the internet.

Technical requirements at the hub hospital

There is absolutely no hardware or software installed or configured at the spoke hospital.  Consequently, there is no IT integration required at the hub hospital to access Krixi CareTM.

Technical requirements at the spoke hospital

The spoke hospital uses a DICOM 3.0 compatible CT scanner and a mobile, wireless cart, configured with a laptop and a high-resolution, remotely controlled network camera, to access Krixi CareTM. The cart, laptop and network camera are off-the-shelf components that spoke hospitals can source themselves or purchase as part of the Krixi CareTM service. The spoke hospital also needs a broadband internet connection, equivalent to a business DSL or better class of internet service.

Technical requirements at the physician's location

The physician can use any laptop or PC with a standard webcam and a broadband internet connection, such as a residential-class DSL or cable connection, to securely access Krixi CareTM and perform remote consultations.

Physicians may also use a wireless broadband internet service from their cellular phone service provider to perform secure, remote consultations using Krixi CareTM. Connection speeds of wireless broadband connections are affected by the coverage of the physician's location by the cellular service provider.
